What is speech therapy? How do I know if my child needs services?
Speech therapy (speech-language pathology) is a scientific helping profession. Speech therapists, also known as speech-language pathologists or SLPs help their clients by using the most effective and research-backed techniques to improve their ability to understand and use language (i.e., how to talk). SLPs must complete annual continuing education to maintain their license, ensuring they are using the highest quality techniques with their clients.

Do you accept insurance?
Awesome Kids Therapy Group believes in individualized and high quality services; as a result, we are a private pay organization. We are considered out of network with all insurance companies.

A superbill may be provided upon request for families seeking reimbursement directly from their own insurance plans. It is the caregiver's responsibility to understand their coverage and benefits. Refunds will not be provided.

Testimonials
Ms. Sarah is the best! She has been working with our daughter for almost 2 years and the improvement in meeting her developmental goals is tremendous! She is always willing to go the extra mile to guarantee our daughter has exactly what she needs to succeed! Our family would highly recommend her to anyone searching for a Speech Therapist- she has become a part of our family! Her knowledge and skill has improved our daughters life so much- we can not say enough good things!! Sarah Pendergast, M.S., CCC-SLP, was my daughter's speech therapist for years. My daughter has Down syndrome and is 4 years old now. Sarah was amazing with my little one. We had to endure virtual therapies but Sarah was able to make it work. My daughter S absolutely loves her and took to her really fast. She responded to her and Sarah was able to keep her attention even through the screen. Sarah stayed in great contact with me and was always willing to share tips and tricks to help with S's development. S's improvement was obvious and its thanks to Sarah and her commitment to her patients that she treats like family. Anyone would be lucky to work with her. |
My son was 2 1/2 when we started receiving speech therapy services with Ms. Sarah. Even though this coincided with the start of the Covid pandemic, and we had to complete our therapy sessions virtually, she was able to quickly establish a caring and trusting relationship with L and our family. I believe early intervention and the therapy sessions with Ms. Sarah, as well as the tips, learning tools, and techniques provided by her, enabled my son to quickly expand his use of spoken language and gain the confidence necessary to more effectively communicate. We are forever grateful to Ms. Sarah, not only for the services she provided, but for the love and care she demonstrated in all her interactions with my son and our family. I want to thank you for your support and intervention with my son and how much of an impact you’re making with children. You are so appreciated. Since you left today, he has said a few new words and communicated for his wants/needs multiple times. I cried tears of joy because I’m just so happy to see this progress and have this guidance from you. Thank you so much for all you do. |
